It all began with woven chairs crafted from the rattan palm's trunk. Under the influence of heat and moisture, the natural material is made pliable and then woven. After cooling, the material hardens again and, combined with a good weaving technique, can offer excellent seating comfort.

However, rattan furniture from the tropical palm is not suitable for outdoor use, as the material cannot retain its rigidity with excessive water contact and becomes too soft.
