Earth Tones & Natural Materials: The Versatile Essentials for Interior Design
Dieser Post ist von 07. Jun 2018 by Livarea.
Earth tones are a very popular trend in interior design. They are natural, warm yet refreshing, soft and elegant. Combined with natural materials such as cotton, leather, wood, and marble, they create a harmonious blend in modern interiors for any living area. We'll introduce you to these two trends in more detail.
What do earth tones bring to interior design?

The Mobius Sideboard by al2 features exclusive eucalyptus veneer.
Earth tones create a pleasant atmosphere in any room without being overwhelming. With this colour choice, room size is irrelevant; they are subtle, create harmony, and suit almost all colours. Earth tones pair excellently with light furniture, metal elements, and chandeliers, just as they do with dark wood, iron elements, and natural fibres, completing the cosy feel.

The bookcase is double-sided and can therefore be used as a room divider.
Earth tones are very versatile; combined with white, they have a fresh effect and suit both modern and country house styles. Mixing earthy warm tones with grey and black achieves a romantic style. For minimalist and purist interiors, natural wood colours are used.

For the Novamobili Hanami table, the tabletop can be ordered in Carrara marble or wood veneer.
What effect does wood have in the living area?
Wood lends rooms a homely, warm character. It can appear both elegant and rustic, and depending on its nature, it can perfectly integrate into any living style. The beauty of wood as a material is best showcased against a calm background. Wood needs space, air, and brightness for an optimal effect.

Why do natural materials make your home feel cosy?
Leather is another natural material in earthy tones that is very popular, and thanks to its vintage appeal, it has become an indispensable part of interior design. Whether for chairs, armchairs, sofas or beds, leather lends a modern and elegant look to any piece of furniture. Leather is a soft yet robust material. As it ages, it often develops an interesting character.

Why marble in interior design?
Marble tabletops are not new, but they are very much in vogue, whether for dining tables or coffee tables. A thin tabletop reduces the marble's bulk, making it appear delicate and elegant. The wonderful thing about this material is that each piece is unique; no two grain patterns are alike.

Marble is available not only in white and dark shades, but also in beige, red, and green. Alongside metal, wood is also suitable for a material mix with marble, which lends marble a cosy charm and therefore fits perfectly with the Scandinavian interior style.
